Every board contact plays a tuned sampled celesta note (a falling scale, top ramp to bottom), end-wall bumps tick a woodblock, and the brass bell — hung on a real hinge pivot from its bracket — swings and rings a tubular bell when the marble strikes it on the way to the catch dish, which counts every completed run. Up to three marbles race at once over a quiet music-box and harp underlay, in a lamplit study against a deep teal wall.
